Darul Arqam is offering a beginners Tajweed course for those students that have never studied Tajweed or those in need of applying the basic Makarij (points of articulation) and Sifat (manner in articulating the letters) when reading the Holy Quran.
The content of the course will include: Etiquettes for the student studying the Quran. An explanation of the makarij and sifat of each letter. Reading and applying the rules learnt from the ‘Noorani Qaida’ Reading important surahs such as al-Fatiha and other short surahs that one reads daily with consistent application of the rules of Tajweed.
The teacher of this subject has studied Tajweed under some of the Shuyukh of Damascus, Syria including Shaykh Anas and others.
He will concentrate on various aspects, in particular the Makharij, the correct place for articulation of the letters and also the attributes of Sifaat of the letters.
This is a unique course in Leicester in which the depth of the Tajweed Science will be covered in an innovative and also a direct one to one approach.
