“The Believer treads lightly on the Earth”

How do we tread lightly on the earth in the age of consumerism?

Allah says in the Qur’an that He has created everything in balance and not to disturb it “…do not make deficient the balance.” Surah Rahman 55:9. Permaculture is the restoration of balance in the earth.

Humans were given the trust and responsibility from Allah to tread lightly on this Earth as guardians and to not be harmful to nature. Permaculture is the consciousness of how the earth works and how we can live in harmony with it.

By adopting core principles of permaculture into our lives, we can benefit generations to come, help to fight climate change and keep good Adaab with Allah in regards to the trust He has bestowed on us as shepherds of the earth.
