Darul Arqam teamed up with partner humanitarian aid charity Revive to hike for Bosnia! The route set off from Chatsworth House in Bakewell in the Peak District after travelling together as a group from Darul Arqam. We began the hike praying Dhuhr in Jamaat out in the open in front of a river. The group continued to traverse through forests, across streams and across heights. The sisters group set the pace leading the way and the hike lasted approximately 5 hours.
Spirituality along with solidarity with Bosnia war victims was central to the day. Shaykh Zaqir shared pearls of wisdom to the groups along the way, Shaykh Saleh lifted the spirits of the hikers, with duff and Salawaat throughout the route and Ustadh Nabil shared nuggets of sacred knowledge!
Many locations resembled the area surrounding Srebrenica, which was the meaning behind the hike, to raise funds for victims of the genocide in Bosnia. So far £4986.15 has been raised to sponsor victims of the war in Bosnia. CLICK HERE to donate to this fundraiser and support those in the community who stepped forward to for Bosnia!
