Sheikh Saleh Juma

Sheikh Saleh was formerly trained in the Islamic Sciences in Zanzibar, Africa. His first Quran teacher was his mother, may Allah have mercy on her; and he studied Tajweed under his brother Muhammad Khamis. He thereafter completed a Classical Islamic Studies Programme with traditional scholars of his region, where he subsequently qualified in the various Islamic Sciences such as: Fiqh, Quranic Tafseer, Hadeeth, Arabic Language, Seerah, and Arabic Poetry.

After coming to the UK, Sheikh Saleh completed a BA Degree in Interpreting British Law, he thereafter completed a MA in Social Sciences both from Bedfordshire University. At the same time, Sheikh Saleh studied Tafseer of the Quran and other advanced Quranic sciences under the instruction of the esteemed Sheikh Tijani for over 10 years.

Amongst other causes, he has helped to establish various Masajid and institutes in the UK. He was the founder and the first imam of Masjid ar-Rahman, Leicester; he previously held the post of imam at Masjid al-Huda in St Mathews, Leicester, and then later at the Masjid an-Noor located in the Leicester City Centre. At present Sheikh Saleh works as the Head of Islamic guidance at the Al-Aqsa Primary School, and in the evenings he teaches Quranic Arabic to adults at Darul Arqam Educational Trust.
