The Introduction to Islamic Studies course is a unique programme taught by various teachers which seeks to introduce and expose students to the fundamental values and concepts of Islam, in order to provide learners with a sound grounding in the primary and secondary sources of Shari’ah. The lessons will be taught in English, utilising translated classical and modern Islamic books relevant to Muslims in contemporary western society.

The programme will take place over a period of 2 years, with study on a part-time basis; and will be delivered via a series of lectures, discussion groups and independent reading. The skills and knowledge developed will be transferable into the work place and the wider community.
